CONSERVATIVES ARE TOUGH ON CRIME

Crime and Prevention

The best way to reduce crime is to prevent it from happening in the first place. We must start the anti-crime prevention campaigns in the home and schools. Young people must be educated not to get involved in crime and to lead a good life. Reinstalling Christian values will go a long way to help, but we must keep young minds and idle hands busy, so that children are not tempted into crime. Youth organisations such as the scouts and sporting clubs must be heavily encouraged to direct young people’s energies into productive lives.

Youth gangs must be broken up and the introduction of curfews must be used to restrict their movement after dark. We must have a zero tolerance of crime and juvenile delinquent behaviour. Punishments must be severe, to bring young people to their senses before they grow up with a criminal mentality. Neighbourhood watches must be established everywhere and rewards for information that lead to a prosecution must be promoted. Together we can dramatically reduce crime.

Police

Our Police force must be fit for purpose. We must recruit officers of the right stuff and not fill the roles with diversity candidates. We must instil a sense of pride and discipline into our officers, so they can rise to and maintain the highest standards. Never again will be have a Police force like the one we saw in Victoria during the covid lockdowns. The Police must never again be allowed to abuse their powers. The Police are there to protect and serve, not act like fascist lackeys, propping up a corrupt government. Police Officers must be properly trained and adequately remunerated to ensure that we maintain the highest standard of Policing.

Capital Punishment

The punishment must fit the crime. The west has completely lost the plot when it comes to punishing criminals. Criminals are afforded greater rights than their victims. The death penalty will be reintroduced for Murder, Terrorism, Rape, Paedophiles, habitual criminals and attacking the defenceless, which are crimes committed against old age pensioners, the disabled or children; and any crime that warrants 15 years or more in jail.

Mandatory Life Imprisonment

Pending the outcome of the Death Penalty referendum; in the intervening period, mandatory life imprisonment terms will be introduced for Murder, Terrorism, Rape, Paedophiles, habitual criminals, attacking the defenceless, which are crimes committed against old age pensioners, the disabled or children. Life will mean life imprisonment, without any parole.

Corporal Punishment

Five-year minimum jail terms will be introduced for all crimes, no more bail and no more parole. You will serve the time for which you are being punished.

The first year of jail will be hard labour, 18 hours a day smashing rocks by hand with just 6 hours rest. There will be no privileges whatsoever, you will get a bench to sleep on and limited food and that is it. Following the hard labour period, prisoners will have to work on programmes, such as rubbish sorting at the recycling plants. A prisoner will have to demonstrate that they are reforming, failure to reform means that you will simply prolong your jail term. If the prisoner breaks any rules or is disobedient then they will go back to the start of their term, starting with the year of hard labour. If the prisoner does not reform and reaches 15 years, then they will be deemed unsuitable for reforming and thus executed.

There should be just one Police force known as the Australian Police, for simplistic purposes you can keep the State deployments, but Australia will be seen legally as one Country, so there will be no border issues, which will eliminate the need for extradition.

Deportation

Foreign born persons, committing crimes in Australia, will be deported. This will include all extended members of their family. Ethnic, cultural or religious groups will be held accountable to one another and if a disproportionate percentage of a particular group is committing crime, then the whole group will be deported.

Prisons and Labour Camps

In addition to Prisons there will be prison labour camps, which will be used to work prisoners in work programmes that benefit the country, such as clearing salt from the derogated land, replanting trees, and sorting recycling rubbish into its various constituent parts. We will ensure that there are enough prisons to house all criminals, never again will criminals be released on bail, due to overcrowding, only to commit more crime.

Illegal Drugs Policy

We will conduct a full review and debate on how we as a nation wish to deal with this policy. The personal use of cannabis will be decriminalised.

Bill of Human Rights

Common Law is the most powerful law in existence, as it implies the rights of people, without actually having to write them down. Such as your implied right to free speech and opinion. Unfortunately, in recent times, the flouting and ignoring of these basic rights has undermined or eroded these rights. To address this problem, we will introduce a Bill of Rights, to emphasise and reinforce the most basic common law rights. This Bill will not override or diminish common law in any way, but will be a document that the people can refer to, when they feel that their rights are being ignored or undermined. As we saw during covid, people who were demonstrating that they had rights, were simply brushed aside, sometimes violently; and told to submit. These breaches of our common rights must never again be allowed to occur.

No Mandatory Vaccinations

It will be illegal to force anyone to take a vaccine against their will, this includes children. Parents will have the right to choose whether their children are vaccinated or not. The Conservative party is not anti-vax and there are many vaccines that people should take. However, every attempt will be made to convince parents and people of the necessity of vaccination. We will become more open and transparent about vaccines and provide full disclosure to the public about all the known risks and side effects that may occur. We will also strip pharmaceutics companies of any immunity from prosecution, so that if something does go wrong from the use of a vaccine, then the injured person will have a right to seek compensation.

Adherence to the Nuremberg Code and the Human Rights Charter

This code was made law to stop the horrors of the holocaust from being repeated. For some reason, during covid our politicians forgot this and abused their power. We will ensure that this is never able to happen again by enshrining this code into our human rights charter.

The Right to Freedom of Speech, Expression, Association and Lawful Protest

This is a basic common right which is not open to question and must always be protected. It is what separates those who are free, from those who think they are free, but in reality, are not. All laws that have been passed that restrict our rights to freedom will be repealed.

Religious Freedom

All religions will be protected to enable them to practice their religious traditions and customs without interference. Religious texts of long standing will not be subject to the terms and conditions of modern-day laws.

Whistle Blower Protection

There is a trend of punishing a whistle blower, because they expose an unwelcomed truth. Whistle blowers must be afforded protection and immunity from prosecution, especially if they are exposing government wrong doing or corruption. Although a whistle blower cannot expect to be acquitted of a crime, especially if they were part of the problem that they are exposing, but a court must take into consideration the greater good and show leniency to a whistle blower that has helped bring down the greater crime.

Make Politicians Legally Accountable to the People and Their Electorate

Politicians have an arrogance where they consider themselves superior to that of the common man. They act as if they know best and we should all be grateful for their wisdom. The truth of the matter is, that most politicians are just full of their own importance and offer very little to the country. It will become law that politicians must act in the best interests of their electorate and work to achieve positive outcomes for the nation. Politicians that commit a crime whilst in office, such as rorting or taking bribes, will face life imprisonment if found guilty.

Recall of Bad Politicians

Due to the fact, that many MPs are quite useless it is important that the people have the ability to recall their MP for reselection by holding a by-election. This will force MPs to work harder and deliver for the constituencies, which should be the norm.

Open and Transparent Government

Under a Conservative government we will make the government, its workings and outcomes fully transparent to the nation, so that the nation can monitor the progress and be informed in real time of what is happening to their country.
